Sweet & Tangy Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Easy Homemade Strawberry Banana Smoothie (Ttalba Shake) Recipe
Hello everyone! Today, I’m sharing a delightful recipe for a Strawberry Banana Smoothie that’s perfect for a rainy day or a refreshing treat on a hot day. If you find your bananas ripening too quickly or worry about fruit flies during the summer, freezing them is a great solution! This recipe makes delicious use of frozen strawberries and fresh bananas. Enjoy a creamy, sweet, and vibrant shake right in your own kitchen, better than any store-bought option!
Ingredients- Frozen Strawberries
- Banana
- Milk
- Sweetened Condensed Milk (Optional)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, a quick tip about strawberries. When strawberries are out of season, they can be hard to find or expensive and less flavorful in the summer. A great trick is to buy them when they’re affordable, wash them thoroughly, pat them dry, and freeze them. They become incredibly useful for making juices and smoothies later on.
Step 2
Next, gather your blender or mixer. I’m using a blender that allows me to pour directly into the cup for blending, but a regular mixer works just as well. Feel free to use whichever appliance you find most convenient.
Step 3
Add your frozen strawberries, a fresh banana, and milk into the blender (or mixer). You can adjust the quantities to your liking, but a common ratio is 1:1 or 2:1 strawberries to banana for a balanced flavor.
Step 4
For an extra touch of sweetness, you can add sweetened condensed milk. I always have some in my kitchen because I make a lot of shaved ice desserts! However, this is completely optional. If you prefer a less sweet drink, simply omit it. You can enjoy the natural sweetness of the fruits without any added sugar or syrup.
Step 5
Now, simply blend all the ingredients until smooth. Even with frozen strawberries, a good blender will process them quickly into a creamy consistency. Just like that, your delicious strawberry banana smoothie is ready! The addition of condensed milk makes it extra sweet and luscious.
Step 6
My child absolutely loves this taste! They enjoyed it so much they asked for another one in the evening. Blending leftover bananas into a smoothie like this is a great way to get kids to drink them. The sweetness really makes a difference. If you happen to have any leftover smoothie mixture, you can freeze it and turn it into a delightful shaved ice dessert later. It’s a simple way to enjoy a different kind of treat! (This post is part of the ‘Good Parent Master Widget Mission’ series.)
