Kid-Favorite Sausage and Potato Stir-fry Recipe
A delightful sweet and savory dish that’s a guaranteed hit with children! This easy sausage and potato stir-fry is perfect for a quick and delicious side dish that will please the whole family.
Main Ingredients- 1 small potato (approx. 150g)
- 4 Viennese sausages (approx. 100g)
- A pinch of dried shrimp (optional, for extra flavor!)
Seasoning- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or corn syrup)
- 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
- A pinch of sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the potato and Viennese sausages into bite-sized pieces (about 1.5cm thick). Rinse the potato and sausages briefly under running water to remove excess starch, then pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
Step 2
Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium-low heat. Add the cut potatoes and stir-fry until they become lightly golden brown and slightly translucent.
Step 3
Once the potatoes are almost cooked, add the sliced sausages to the pan and continue to stir-fry together. Searing the sausages slightly will enhance their flavor.
Step 4
Pour 100ml of water into the pan. Add all the seasoning ingredients (2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp oligosaccharide, 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar) and mix well. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat until the sauce thickens.
Step 5
When the sauce has reduced and is coating the ingredients, sprinkle with sesame seeds. Add the optional dried shrimp now. Dried shrimp add a wonderful umami flavor and a delightful crispness.
Step 6
Quickly stir-fry everything to ensure all ingredients are well coated with the glossy sauce. Your delicious sausage and potato stir-fry is now ready! Best served warm.
