- Fresh Strawberries (cut into bite-sized pieces for babies)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, measure out 40g of milk powder into a measuring cup. Carefully add 1 fresh egg yolk to it.
Step 2
Once the milk powder and egg yolk are ready to be mixed, pour in 40ml of lukewarm water that has been boiled and then cooled. Be careful, as water that is too hot can destroy the nutrients in the milk powder.
Step 3
Using a whisk or fork, mix thoroughly until the milk powder lumps are completely dissolved. It’s important to stir until you achieve a smooth batter consistency.
Step 4
Now, add 40g of steamed sweet potato for a touch of sweetness. Mashing it finely with a fork beforehand will help it incorporate well into the batter.
Step 5
Carefully pour the finished batter into a microwave-safe dish or heatproof container. Cover the batter with plastic wrap and poke 2-3 small holes in it with a fork or toothpick to allow steam to escape. Microwave on high for about 3 minutes until cooked. (Adjust the cooking time based on your microwave’s power.)
Step 6
Once removed from the microwave, your delicious sweet potato milk powder bread will be ready! It should have a slightly firm exterior and a moist interior, a perfect texture for babies.
Step 7
The bread may be hot right after microwaving, so let it cool down sufficiently. It’s best to cut it into bite-sized pieces that are easy for your baby to eat.
Step 8
For a special touch or a more visually appealing treat, you can spread a little baby-friendly plain yogurt on the cooled bread and top it with fresh strawberry pieces. It will transform into a cute ‘Baby Mini Strawberry Cake’! Enjoy making it.
