Sweet & Creamy Fruit Punch for the Whole Family
Kid-friendly snack, baby food, easy fruit punch recipe for 4-year-olds, a delightful way to encourage milk consumption
Is your little one reluctant to drink milk? This ‘Fruit Punch’ recipe is a fantastic way to make milk enjoyable! Unlike traditional fruit 화채 (hwachae), this recipe omits ice, making it perfectly gentle and easy for children to consume. Its smooth, sweet, and refreshing taste is sure to delight everyone, making it an ideal snack or part of a meal for toddlers and young children.
Fruit Punch Ingredients- 5 fresh strawberries
- 1 sweet tangerine or mandarin orange
- 1/2 crisp apple
- 10 cherry tomatoes
- 150 mL milk
- Sweetened whipping cream, to taste (optional)
- 1 (150 mL) drinking yogurt (plain or fruit-flavored)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
1. Prepare the Fresh Fruits: Begin by washing the strawberries thoroughly under running water and removing the green stems. Cut them into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 pieces per strawberry) for easy eating.
Step 2
2. Prepare the Tangerine and Apple: Peel the tangerine and separate the segments. For the apple, cut it in half, remove the core, and then slice it thinly into rounds. Leaving the peel on adds a nice color and extra nutrients. Wash the cherry tomatoes, remove the stems, and cut them in half. This preparation ensures all fruits are ready for mixing.
Step 3
3. Create the Creamy Base: In a blender or a mixing bowl, combine the 150 mL of milk and the 150 mL of drinking yogurt. You can use plain yogurt or your child’s favorite fruit-flavored yogurt. For an extra creamy and richer texture, add a touch of sweetened whipping cream to your preference. Since the yogurt is already sweet, there’s no need to add extra sweeteners like sugar or honey. Mix all ingredients well until you achieve a smooth, consistent base.
