Steamed Egg – Super Easy Microwave Recipe!
You can make incredibly easy and fluffy steamed eggs using the microwave.
Ingredients- 4 large eggs
- 300ml water
- 0.5 Tbsp soy sauce (for soup)
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 Tbsp tuna extract
- A little chopped green onion
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, crack 4 large eggs. Add 0.5 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of salt, and 0.5 Tbsp of tuna extract. Whisk everything together until well combined. Ensure the yolks and whites are thoroughly mixed.
Step 2
Pour 300ml of water into the egg mixture. Add the chopped green onion. Stir gently until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. For a richer flavor, you can substitute water with anchovy or kelp broth.
Step 3
Cover the microwave-safe bowl with plastic wrap. To prevent pressure buildup, poke a few small holes in the wrap or leave one side slightly loose to allow steam to escape.
Step 4
Microwave on high for 6-7 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave’s power. Check for doneness after 6 minutes; if it’s still runny, microwave in additional 30-second to 1-minute increments until set. The steamed egg should be firm but still moist.
