Main Ingredients- 1 pack (500ml) Retort-pouched beef bone broth (Sagol Gomtang)
- 7 dumplings (mandu)
- 1 egg
- A small amount of green onion
Seasoning & Garnish- A pinch of black pepper
- A pinch of black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare 1 pack (500ml) of the retort-pouched beef bone broth. Depending on the brand, the sodium content might vary, so you can add a little water or adjust the seasoning to your preference.
Step 2
Crack 1 egg into a small bowl and beat it lightly with a fork or chopsticks until well combined. Finely chop the green onion, separating the white and green parts. Have your 7 dumplings ready.
Step 3
Pour the prepared beef bone broth into a pot and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Once the broth starts boiling, add the dumplings and cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until they are cooked through. Stir occasionally to prevent the dumplings from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
Step 4
When the dumplings are almost cooked, gently pour the beaten egg in a circular motion around the edges of the pot. Let the egg cook without stirring to create delicate ribbons. Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the soup, and add a pinch of black pepper for extra flavor.
Step 5
Simmer for another minute until the egg is fully set and the flavors meld together. Your delicious and super-easy Mandu-guk is now ready! Serve hot and enjoy this comforting meal.
