Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Here’s a photo of all the ingredients, so you can see everything at a glance.
Step 2
Place the entire pack of pork shoulder (about 760g) into a large bowl.
Step 3
Separate any pieces of meat that are stuck together. This ensures the marinade will penetrate evenly and deliciously.
Step 4
Add a generous tablespoon of minced garlic.
Step 5
Add 3 tablespoons of gochujang.
Step 6
Add 1 tablespoon of sugar for a touch of sweetness.
Step 7
Stir in 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds for nutty flavor.
Step 8
Drizzle in 2 tablespoons of perilla oil to enhance the aroma. (Sesame oil can be used as a substitute.)
Step 9
Slice half an onion.
Step 10
Chop a handful of green onions into large pieces.
Step 11
Add the sliced onion and chopped green onions to the bowl with the pork.
Step 12
Sprinkle with black pepper to help tenderize the meat and remove any gamey odors.
Step 13
Now, begin mixing everything together.
Step 14
Use your hands to thoroughly massage the marinade into the meat, ensuring every piece is well-coated. This step is crucial for flavor!
Step 15
Once everything is well combined, let it marinate for at least 10 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld beautifully, resulting in a more delicious dish. Now, let’s cook!
Step 16
Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Once it’s hot and you hear a gentle sizzle as the meat hits the pan, start stir-frying.
Step 17
Stir-fry the pork evenly, making sure it doesn’t burn. Use a spatula to keep things moving.
Step 18
You don’t need to stir constantly; it’s good to take short breaks between stir-frying sessions. Taste the pork to check for doneness. Once cooked through, transfer it to a serving plate.
Step 19
Before serving, sprinkle a little more toasted sesame seeds over the top for a final touch of flavor and visual appeal. Enjoy your delicious meal! Thank you.
