Super Simple 10-Minute Apple Jam
Whip up delicious homemade apple jam in just 10 minutes with leftover apples!

Introducing a quick and easy homemade apple jam recipe using your surplus apples. It only takes 10 minutes! Enjoy sweet and fragrant apple jam on toast, yogurt, or in your favorite desserts.
Essential Ingredients- 2 fresh apples
- 1 cup granulated sugar (approx. 180ml)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Start by washing 2 fresh and crisp apples thoroughly.

Step 2
Instead of pureeing the apples, finely dice them, similar to how you would prepare them for stir-frying. You can leave the peels on if you prefer. Remove the core and seeds, and chop them as finely as possible for a smoother jam.

Step 3
It’s crucial to use a non-stick coated pot to prevent the jam from burning. I used a newly purchased pot for this recipe. Add 1 cup (approx. 180ml) of granulated sugar to the pot.

Step 4
Using a spoon, stir the apples and sugar together until evenly combined. This helps the sugar to naturally penetrate the apples.

Step 5
Cover the pot with a lid, ensuring it’s large enough to prevent boiling over, and cook on high heat for 10 minutes. Avoid opening the lid during this time. Using a well-coated pot will ensure it doesn’t burn and cooks safely.

Step 6
After 10 minutes, remove the lid and stir the jam continuously for 1 minute to prevent sticking.

Step 7
The sugar has completely dissolved into the apples, and the jam has thickened into a delicious consistency. I personally prefer a less sweet jam, so this ratio was perfect for me. (Jar sterilization process is omitted for brevity.)

Step 8
Transfer the finished apple jam into a clean jar. Your beautiful homemade apple jam is ready!

Step 9
This photo was taken approximately 1 hour later. I left about a spoonful of jam in the pot after transferring the rest to the jar. You can see how the jam has become even chewier and more delightful over time.
