Super Easy Toast Pizza: Recipe to Use Up Your Leftover Bread
Make a Wonderful Snack with Leftover Bread! Super Simple Toast Pizza Recipe (Fridge Clean-Out Cooking)
Create a delightful pizza from bread that was about to be thrown away! This is a delicious toast pizza recipe that anyone can easily follow, utilizing leftover vegetables and ham from your fridge.
Essential Ingredients- 4 slices of bread
- 4 slices of mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- Pizza sauce or ketchup, as needed
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Finely chop all the topping ingredients. Dice the ham, onion, and bell pepper into small, bite-sized pieces suitable for pizza. For the cherry tomatoes, cut them in half and then into quarters.
Step 2
It’s time to spread the sauce on the bread. You can use store-bought pizza sauce, but if you don’t have any, ketchup works great! Spread a generous layer of ketchup evenly over each slice of bread to create the pizza base.
Step 3
If you’d like to add a hint of sweetness and extra flavor, you can lightly drizzle some sweet chili sauce over the ketchup. Be careful not to use too much, as it can become too sweet or salty. (This step is optional.)
Step 4
Now, let’s add the cheese and toppings. I have two recommendations for you. First, layer the mozzarella cheese first, then arrange your prepared toppings on top. This method makes the toppings stand out and creates a visually appealing pizza. Second, you can place the toppings first, followed by a generous layer of mozzarella cheese. This approach helps the toppings stick to the cheese, reducing the chance of them falling off when you eat. Choose whichever method you prefer!
Step 5
Arrange the prepared toppings like ham, bell pepper, onion, and cherry tomatoes evenly over the sauce and cheese. Avoid overloading the pizza, as it might take longer to cook through.
Step 6
Finally, sprinkle a pinch of dried parsley over the pizza for added flavor and a nice visual touch. If you don’t have parsley, you can skip this step.
Step 7
Bake the toast pizzas in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown. The exact baking time may vary depending on your oven. You’ll know it’s ready when the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust edges are nicely toasted.
Step 8
These warm, freshly baked toast pizzas are delicious eaten by hand. However, for a cleaner experience, you can also transfer them to a plate and slice them with a knife. Enjoy your own convenient homemade pizza!
