Main Ingredients- 100g dried shredded squid (jinmi-chae)
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2/3 Tbsp sugar
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of dried parsley flakes

Step 1
First, prepare 100g of dried shredded squid. Gently rinse it 3-4 times in lukewarm water to remove any impurities. It’s important to drain the water completely using a sieve afterwards. Then, cut the squid into bite-sized pieces (about 3-4 cm) using scissors or a knife. This step helps to make the squid more tender.
Step 2
Place 2 tablespoons of butter in a small bowl. Cover it with plastic wrap and microwave for about 50 seconds until it’s softened and melted. Be careful not to overheat, as it can burn.

Add 2/3 tablespoon of sugar, a pinch of black pepper, and a pinch of dried parsley flakes to the melted butter. Stir well with a spoon or fork to create a flavorful butter sauce. Continue stirring until the sugar is dissolved.

Pour the prepared butter sauce over the dried shredded squid. Use chopsticks to gently toss the squid, ensuring that each strand is evenly coated with the butter sauce. This seasoning step will make the squid even more delicious.
