As Christmas approaches, why not create these charming ‘Strawberry Santa Clauses’ that are perfect for little hands to make! Their irresistibly cute appearance will delight both kids and adults, filling your home with festive cheer. This simple yet visually appealing treat is also a fantastic option for holiday party desserts.
Essential Ingredients- 6 fresh strawberries
- 200ml cold heavy cream
- A few small chocolate pieces (for decoration)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, gently wash the fresh strawberries under running water. It’s easier to handle them if you dry them thoroughly after washing, before removing the stems. Carefully use a knife to cut off the stem part of the prepared strawberries. Be mindful not to cut too much off.
Step 2
Pour the cold heavy cream (200ml) into a clean bowl. Using a hand mixer or a whisk, whip the cream until it forms soft peaks. Whipping for about 10 minutes will yield a smooth, soft whipped cream. Be careful not to overwhip, as it might become too stiff to pipe easily.
Step 3
Prepare your small chocolate pieces. You could melt chocolate, but for this recipe, it’s best to have finely chopped or small chip-shaped chocolates ready to create the Santa’s cute eyes. These chocolates will serve as the eyes for our Santa figures.
Step 4
Turn the strawberries upside down (stem side down) and carefully cut off the pointy tip, about 1/4 of the way down. This section will become the Santa’s hat. Try to cut it at an angle that considers the overall proportion of the Santa. Next, use a piping bag filled with the whipped cream to artfully pipe the ‘outfit’ onto the strawberry bodies.
Step 5
Now, carefully place the top part of the strawberry (the section you cut off earlier, which will be the hat) onto the whipped cream body of the Santa. Finally, gently press the prepared chocolate pieces onto the strawberry body to resemble eyes. Your adorable Strawberry Santa Claus is now complete! Enjoy this fun activity with your children.
