Main Ingredients- 1 bag Korean green peppers (approx. 17 peppers)
- 2 handfuls dried shrimp
Seasoning Ingredients- 3 Tbsp grapeseed oil
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 4 Tbsp soy sauce (adjust to taste)
- 4 Tbsp honey (adjust to taste)
- A little chopped green onion
- A little toasted sesame seeds
- A little sesame oil
- 3 Tbsp grapeseed oil
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 4 Tbsp soy sauce (adjust to taste)
- 4 Tbsp honey (adjust to taste)
- A little chopped green onion
- A little toasted sesame seeds
- A little sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Wash the fresh Korean green peppers thoroughly under running water. Remove the stems as they can be unsightly, and then cut them into bite-sized pieces, about 2-3 cm long.
Step 2
Heat 3 tablespoons of grapeseed oil in a wide pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the cut Korean green peppers and stir-fry until they start to soften slightly. Once the peppers begin to wilt, add 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce and continue to stir-fry. This step helps the ingredients absorb the initial seasoning.
Step 3
When the Korean green peppers are tender and wilted to your liking, add the 2 handfuls of cleaned dried shrimp. Stir-fry quickly over medium-high heat. Be careful not to overcook the dried shrimp, as they can become tough.
Step 4
Now, add the remaining seasoning ingredients: 4 tablespoons of soy sauce and 4 tablespoons of honey. Stir well to combine and continue stir-frying. Feel free to adjust the amount of soy sauce and honey according to your personal preference. Finally, add a little chopped green onion, a little toasted sesame seeds, and a little sesame oil for a glossy finish.
Step 5
Transfer the deliciously stir-fried Korean green peppers and dried shrimp to a serving plate. It’s delicious served warm, or you can let it cool slightly and enjoy it as a side dish.
