Recipe Info

  • Category : Main dish
  • Ingredient Category : Pork
  • Occasion : Everyday
  • Cooking : Stir-fry
  • Servings : 2 servings
  • Difficulty : Beginner

Main Ingredients

  • Pork 200-230g (thinly sliced for bulgogi or shoulder cut)
  • Bell Peppers 4 (choose vibrant and firm ones)
  • Fresh Ginger 1 piece (sliced thinly or minced)
  • Low-Calorie Glass Noodles (Harusame) 50g
  • Cooking Oil 1 Tbsp

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, wash the bell peppers thoroughly. Remove the stems and seeds, then cut them into quarters lengthwise. Slicing them into long strips will help maintain their crisp texture when stir-fried.

Step 1

Step 2

Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the sliced ginger and pork, and stir-fry. The ginger will add a wonderful aroma.

Step 2

Step 3

Continue to stir-fry until the pork is no longer pink and is cooked through. If the pieces of pork are large, you can cut them into bite-sized pieces with scissors or a spatula while cooking. Once cooked, set the pork aside on a separate plate.

Step 3

Step 4

In the same pan used for the pork, add all the prepared bell peppers and stir-fry quickly over high heat. Cook just until the bell peppers become vibrant in color and slightly softened, ensuring they remain crisp.

Step 4

Step 5

Add the soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, and 150cc of water to the pan and bring it to a boil over high heat. Once the sauce begins to bubble, reduce the heat slightly.

Step 5

Step 6

Add the soaked low-calorie glass noodles (Harusame) to the pan. Cover with a lid and let it simmer over low heat for about 4-5 minutes, allowing the noodles to soften. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Step 6

Step 7

Finally, drizzle in 1 tsp of sesame oil and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Give it a quick mix to combine everything. Your delicious bell pepper stir-fry is ready! It’s best enjoyed warm.
