Main Ingredients- 1 can Whelks (approx. 200g)
- 3 handfuls Dried Pollack Fillet (shredded)
- 1/2 can Del Cube Tuna (drained)
- 1/2 Cucumber
- 1/2 Carrot
- 1/2 Onion
- 1/2 Bell Pepper (each color)
- 1/2 head Broccoli
- 1 stalk Green Onion
Spicy & Sweet Dressing- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Maesil Cheong (Plum Syrup) or Oligodang
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Maesil Cheong (Plum Syrup) or Oligodang
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Blanch them in boiling water with 1/2 tsp of salt for about 1 minute. Immediately rinse under cold water to preserve the vibrant green color and drain thoroughly. Set aside.

Step 2
Drain the whelks from the can, reserving the liquid in a separate bowl. Shred the dried pollack fillet into bite-sized pieces (about 3-4 cm) and soak them in the reserved whelk liquid for about 10 minutes until softened.

Step 3
Drain the Del Cube Tuna well. The beauty of these tuna cubes is that they hold their shape perfectly, even when mixed with other ingredients. This allows their mild, savory flavor to complement the whelks and vegetables without falling apart.

Step 4
Thinly slice the cucumber, carrot, onion, and bell peppers into matchsticks or bite-sized pieces, similar in size to the whelks. Finely chop the green onion. Combine all the prepared vegetables, the soaked dried pollack, and the drained cube tuna in a large mixing bowl. Add all the prepared dressing ingredients. Gently toss everything together until well combined and the dressing coats all the ingredients evenly. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving. Let it sit for a few minutes for the flavors to meld beautifully!
