Main Ingredients- 1 package ramen noodles
- 5 fresh perilla leaves
All-Purpose Gochujang Sauce- 2.5 Tbsp Hoe-gochujang (Spicy Vinegar Paste)
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 2 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 2.5 Tbsp Hoe-gochujang (Spicy Vinegar Paste)
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 2 Tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions until they are perfectly done. Immediately rinse the cooked noodles under cold water to remove excess starch, and then drain them thoroughly in a colander. This step is crucial to prevent the noodles from becoming mushy and ensures a delightful chewy texture.
Step 2
In a bowl with the drained ramen noodles, add all the ingredients for the all-purpose gochujang sauce. Combine the hoe-gochujang with sugar, water, sesame oil, and toasted sesame seeds to create the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors.
Step 3
Thinly slice the fresh perilla leaves into ribbons. Add the sauce-coated noodles and the sliced perilla leaves to a mixing bowl. Gently toss and mix everything together until the noodles and perilla leaves are evenly coated with the delicious sauce. This completes your flavorful spicy and sweet bibim guksu! For extra crunch and flavor, consider adding thinly sliced cucumber or carrots.
