Spicy Shin Ramyun Tuumva Pasta
Easy Homemade Tuumva Pasta with Shin Ramyun (feat. Happycall Pot)
We’ve created a Tuumva Pasta using Shin Ramyun, a popular instant noodle, for a deliciously spicy and creamy twist on a classic.
Ingredients- 1 packet Shin Ramyun (use only noodles and soup base)
- 1 Tbsp ramen soup powder (adds a spicy kick)
- 5 peeled and deveined shrimp
- 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 1/3 medium onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 button mushrooms
- 1 red chili pepper
- 1 green chili pepper (adjust spiciness)
- 2 cups milk (approx. 400ml)
- 1/2 cup water (approx. 100ml)
- Pinch of black pepper
- Chopped scallions for garnish
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Let’s begin by preparing all the ingredients for a delicious Tuumva Pasta.
Step 2
Thinly slice the onion. Slice the garlic thinly or mince it. Slice the button mushrooms about 0.5 cm thick. Finally, chop the scallions for garnish.
Step 3
Remove the stems from the red and green chili peppers and slice them diagonally about 0.5 cm thick. The green chili pepper adds extra heat; feel free to omit it or remove the seeds if you prefer a milder flavor.
Step 4
Now, let’s start cooking! Heat 1 Tbsp of butter in a pot over medium heat until melted. Add the sliced garlic and sliced onion, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant. Once the onion is softened, add the prepared shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through.
Step 5
Once the shrimp are cooked, remove them from the pot and set aside in a separate bowl. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp, as they can become tough. Removing them once they are just cooked will help maintain their tender texture.
Step 6
Pour 1/2 cup of water and 2 cups of milk into the pot with the sautéed vegetables and butter. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Step 7
As the sauce begins to bubble, stir in 1 Tbsp of the Shin Ramyun soup powder for a spicy kick. Add the Shin Ramyun noodles and 2 slices of cheddar cheese. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until the noodles are tender and the sauce has thickened. For an even richer, creamier sauce, consider adding an extra slice of cheddar cheese.
Step 8
Add the sliced button mushrooms, green chili pepper, and red chili pepper to the pot. Continue to cook until the noodles are fully cooked and all the ingredients are well combined.
Step 9
Finally, carefully transfer the finished Tuumva Pasta to a serving bowl. Arrange the reserved cooked shrimp on top. Sprinkle with a pinch of black pepper for aroma and garnish with the chopped scallions. Your delicious and visually appealing Shin Ramyun Tuumva Pasta is now ready to enjoy!
