Ingredients for Stir-Fried Tofu Noodles- 1 pack Tofu Noodles (approx. 200-250g)
- 1/2 Onion
- A little Ham (e.g., Spam, Vienna sausage)
- 1 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- A little Cooking Oil
- A little Sesame Seeds
- A little Parsley Flakes (optional)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare one pack of tofu noodles. Rinse the tofu noodles lightly under cold or running water and drain them. This helps reduce any unique odor from the tofu noodles and prevents them from clumping during cooking.
Step 2
Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Once the garlic aroma is released, add half an onion, thinly sliced, and sauté until translucent.
Step 3
Add a small amount of ham (cubed or thinly sliced) to the pan and stir-fry together. Once the ham is slightly cooked, add 1 tablespoon of gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) and mix well with the onions and ham until evenly coated. Reduce the heat to low to prevent the chili flakes from burning.
Step 4
Now, add the prepared tofu noodles to the pan. Then, add the sauce ingredients: 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of oyster sauce, and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Oyster sauce adds umami, while soy sauce and sesame oil enhance the flavor, balancing the dish.
Step 5
Gently stir-fry the tofu noodles with the sauce and other ingredients using a spatula or chopsticks, ensuring everything is well combined. Be careful not to overcook the tofu noodles, as they can become mushy. Stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until the sauce is evenly distributed and the noodles are heated through.
