  • Dried Bean Curd Skin (Fuzhu) 100g
  • Sausages 2 pcs
  • Shrimp 6 pcs

Seasoning

  • Mala Hot Pot Sauce 1/2 cube

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Soak the dried bean curd skin (fuzhu) in water until softened. It’s best to use lukewarm water for quicker soaking. Once rehydrated, drain the fuzhu.

Step 1

Step 2

Gently rinse the frozen tteokbokki rice cakes under water to remove the frost. Prepare the sausages by slicing them or scoring them, as desired.

Step 2

Step 3

Dissolve the mala hot pot sauce cube in water in a pot. Once the broth comes to a boil, add all the prepared ingredients: rice cakes, fuzhu, sausages, and shrimp. Cook until everything is thoroughly cooked.

Step 3

Step 4

After the ingredients are cooked, add thin glass noodles (dangmyeon) and stir until the noodles are tender and cooked through. This will thicken the sauce nicely.

Step 4

Step 5

Finally, add king oyster mushrooms and cook for another minute until they are tender. Your delicious Mala Tteokbokki is ready to serve! Enjoy it while it’s hot. You can add cilantro or green onions for extra flavor if you like.
