Main Ingredients- 300g Fresh Pork Belly
Spicy & Sweet Sauce Ingredients- 1 Tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes, adjust to spice preference)
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Oligodang (corn syrup or rice syrup, for glaze and sweetness)
- 1 Tbsp Mirin (or cooking wine/Sake)
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil (for nutty aroma)
- 1 Tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes, adjust to spice preference)
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Oligodang (corn syrup or rice syrup, for glaze and sweetness)

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, in a mixing bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients: gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, oligodang, mirin, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Whisk them together with a spoon or a small whisk until smooth and well-combined, creating a flavorful sauce. If you prefer a spicier kick, feel free to add a little more gochugaru.
Step 2
Add the prepared pork belly to the sauce. Gently toss and mix to ensure the sauce coats every piece of pork belly evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes. For an even deeper flavor, marinating for 30 minutes or longer is highly recommended.
Step 3
Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Arrange the marinated pork belly pieces in a single layer. As the pork belly starts to render its fat, use that delicious rendered fat to help cook the meat.
