Spicy Garlic Chicken Stir-fry
Savory, Spicy, and Savory! How to Make a Simple Spicy Garlic Chicken Stir-fry at Home
Enjoy a simple yet special meal at home with this savory, spicy, and savory Gochujang Garlic Spicy Chicken Stir-fry! It’s recommended as a side dish for rice or as a great accompaniment to drinks. 🙂
Ingredients- 500g boneless chicken thigh meat
- 20 cloves garlic (approx. 100g)
- 3 Cheongyang peppers (adjust to your preference^^)
- 1 tsp salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
Spicy Gochujang Sauce- 3 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 3 Tbsp chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 3 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp sugar

- 2 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Finely chop the 3 Cheongyang peppers. Feel free to add more if you like it spicier!
Step 2
Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the 20 whole garlic cloves and stir-fry for 2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Step 3
Add the chicken thigh meat to the pan. Season with 1 tsp salt and a pinch of black pepper. Stir-fry over high heat. Once the chicken is partially cooked, cut it into bite-sized pieces with scissors. Continue to stir-fry over high heat until the chicken is fully cooked and nicely browned, ensuring it doesn’t burn.
Step 4
Once the chicken is fully cooked, add the chopped Cheongyang peppers and stir-fry for another minute over high heat. Drizzle in 1 Tbsp of sesame oil to add a savory aroma and mix well.
Step 5
In a small bowl, combine the 3 Tbsp lemon juice, 2 Tbsp sugar, 3 Tbsp chili sauce, and 2 Tbsp gochujang. Mix well to create the spicy and sweet sauce.
Step 6
