Ingredients- 500ml water
- 1 pack Buldak Bokkeummyeon (use only 1/2 portion of the sauce)
- 2 fresh eggs
- Grated mozzarella cheese (to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, pour 500ml of water into a pot and bring it to a boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling vigorously, add the Buldak Bokkeummyeon noodles and cook them until they are slightly chewier than the package instructions recommend (about 3-4 minutes). Overcooking can cause the noodles to break apart inside the omelet.
Step 2
While the noodles are cooking, crack 2 fresh eggs into a wide bowl. Use a whisk to gently beat the eggs until the whites and yolks are well combined. This egg mixture will form the base of your tender omelet.
Step 3
Drain the cooked noodles completely using a colander. While they are still hot, add 1/2 portion of the Buldak Bokkeummyeon sauce and mix well until the noodles are evenly coated. You can adjust the amount of sauce here to control the spiciness according to your preference.
Step 4
Now, heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Once the oil is slightly heated, pour about 2/3 of the beaten egg mixture thinly into the pan. Let the egg cook slowly from the bottom.
Step 5
When the egg layer is about 70% cooked and the surface has just set, carefully place the prepared Buldak noodles (half of the sauced portion) in a line along one end of the pan. Be gentle to avoid breaking the egg as you place the noodles.
Step 6
On top of the noodles with the Buldak sauce, sprinkle a desired amount of grated mozzarella cheese. The cheese will melt and help bind the Buldak noodles and the egg together deliciously.
Step 7
Now, using a spatula, carefully lift the empty side of the egg sheet (the side without the noodles and cheese) and fold it over to cover the Buldak and cheese, creating a roll shape similar to an omurice. Continue to roll the egg gently, forming a compact roll. You can add small amounts of the remaining egg mixture as you roll to create a thicker, more substantial omelet. Keep rolling for a few more minutes to ensure the inside is fully cooked.
