- 1 cup Mart Brand Soy Sauce Seasoning (store-bought all-purpose sauce)
- 4 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili powder)
- 3 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 3 Tbsp Jinjangjang (Korean soy sauce)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Soak the pork ribs in cold water to remove excess blood. This step is crucial for a clean taste and to prevent any gamey odors. Change the water once or twice for best results.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine 1 cup (approx. 200ml) of store-bought soy sauce seasoning, 4 Tbsp gochugaru, 3 Tbsp minced garlic, and 3 Tbsp jinjangjang. Mix well to create the seasoning paste. Adjust the amount of soy sauce based on the saltiness of your store-bought seasoning.
Step 3
Add the pork ribs (after draining) to the seasoning mixture and massage gently to coat each piece evenly. Let it marinate for a while, mixing occasionally to ensure the flavors penetrate deeply.
Step 4
Transfer the marinated ribs to a deep pot. Add enough water to generously cover the ribs. Bring to a boil over high heat.
Step 5
Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the pot, and let it simmer until the ribs are tender and the sauce has reduced to a desirable consistency. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Step 6
When the ribs are tender and the sauce has thickened nicely, serve generously in a bowl. Don’t forget to pour over any remaining delicious sauce from the pot. This dish pairs wonderfully with hot steamed rice.
