Main Ingredients- 210g minced pork
- 1 handful crushed almonds (approx. 20g)
Seasoning- 3 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or corn syrup)
- 2 Tbsp ginger and plum rice wine (or mirin/cheongju)
- Pinch of black pepper
- 3 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp oligosaccharide (or corn syrup)
- 2 Tbsp ginger and plum rice wine (or mirin/cheongju)
- Pinch of black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, place the minced pork in a pan. Add 1 Tbsp of the ginger and plum rice wine, a pinch of black pepper, and a very small amount of cooking oil. Stir-fry over medium heat until the pork is thoroughly cooked and slightly crispy. This helps to remove any porky odor and improves the texture.
Step 2
Once the pork is mostly cooked, add all the prepared seasoning ingredients: 3 Tbsp gochujang, 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 3 Tbsp oligosaccharide, and the remaining 1 Tbsp of ginger and plum rice wine. Stir well to combine. (For a spicier kick, you can add half a tablespoon of Cheongyang chili powder.)
Step 3
Now, add the handful of crushed almonds. Continue to stir-fry over medium-low heat, allowing the sauce to evenly coat the pork and thicken. It’s important to stir continuously with a spatula to prevent the sauce from burning.
Step 4
Finally, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds for an extra nutty aroma and stir-fry lightly one more time. Your delicious stir-fried pork with gochujang is now ready! Enjoy it as a side dish or incorporate it into various other dishes.
