- 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 2 Tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Perilla Oil (or sesame oil)
- 3 Tbsp Ketchup
- 4 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, place 120g of fresh Korean minced beef in a bowl. Add 4 tablespoons of mirin (or cooking wine) and gently mix. Let it marinate for about 5 minutes to eliminate any gamey odor from the beef.
Step 2
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add about 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Gently pat the marinated minced beef with a paper towel to remove excess moisture, then add it to the pan. Break up any clumps with a spatula as you stir-fry until the beef is no longer pink.
Step 3
Once the beef is fully cooked, add 2 tablespoons of the prepared all-purpose gochujang sauce. (Feel free to add more sauce if you prefer it spicier.) Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce coats the beef evenly. Finally, sprinkle with a pinch of sesame seeds for garnish. Your delicious stir-fried beef with gochujang is ready!
