Ingredients

  • 1 can (approx. 150g) Spicy Canned Tuna
  • 1 ladleful (approx. same amount as tuna) Kimchi
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 bowls Cooked Rice
  • A little Sesame Oil
  • A pinch of Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil

To enhance the flavor of the kimchi, finely chop about one ladleful of well-fermented kimchi. Aim for a quantity similar to the spicy tuna for a balanced taste.

Let’s prepare the perfect fried eggs to accompany the fried rice. Lightly grease a pan, crack in two eggs, and cook them to your preference, whether sunny-side up or fully cooked. Season lightly with salt.

Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the chopped kimchi and stir-fry until it becomes tender and slightly translucent, ensuring it doesn’t burn. Stir-frying the kimchi sufficiently is key.

Once the kimchi is nicely sautéed, open one can of spicy tuna, including the oil, and add it to the pan. The oil from the can adds great flavor, so don’t discard it! Stir and cook the tuna and kimchi together for another 2-3 minutes.
