Don’t let the tender chili leaves harvested from the garden go to waste! We’ve transformed them into a delicious salad. Create a healthy and special meal with seasonal chili leaves!
Main Ingredients- 1 basket fresh chili leaves (approx. 200-300g)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Seasoning- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, select and trim the tender bottom parts of the chili leaves. Bring a pot of water to a boil with a pinch of salt, and blanch the trimmed chili leaves for about 3 minutes until tender. Be careful not to overcook, as they can become mushy.
Step 2
Immediately rinse the blanched chili leaves under cold running water to cool them down. This helps maintain their crisp texture and vibrant color. Gently squeeze out excess water.
Step 3
To the drained chili leaves, add sesame oil, toasted sesame seeds, and minced garlic. Gently toss and mix with your hands, ensuring the seasoning coats the leaves evenly. Taste and add a tiny pinch of salt if needed. Enjoy your refreshing chili leaves salad!
