  • 60g Fresh sprouts (e.g., radish sprouts)
  • 15g Sea grapes (umibudo)
  • 1 pc Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet)
  • 3 Tbsp Fresh wasabi
  • 1 Tbsp Sushi soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Ponzu sauce
  • 2 bowls Cooked rice
  • 2 Tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the soy-marinated shrimp by removing the shells and slicing them in half lengthwise. This makes them easy to place on sushi and allows the flavors to meld beautifully.

Select 2 pieces of the seasoned shrimp to be placed on top of the sushi. Like the soy-marinated shrimp, remove their shells and slice them thinly for topping.

For the hand rolls, take the remaining 3 pieces of seasoned shrimp. Remove their shells and finely chop them. This will create a delicious filling for your temaki.

Arrange your prepared toppings: sliced tamagoyaki, the prepared soy-marinated shrimp, and the sliced seasoned shrimp for topping. Keep the finely chopped seasoned shrimp separate, as it’s destined for your hand rolls.

Gather the ingredients for the hand rolls: crisp sprouts and the uniquely popping sea grapes. These will add wonderful texture and freshness.

Now, let’s move on to the hand rolls.
