Easy Homemade Coconut Oil Cookies Shaped Like Pretzels
Let’s bake some low-calorie cookies made with medium-chain triglycerides from coconut oil! This recipe is detailed in the main text. ^ㅅ^* Enjoy a healthier, delightful treat!
Ingredients- 120g Coconut Oil (liquid state)
- 60g Sugar
- 60g Egg (room temperature)
- 180g Cake Flour
- 2g Salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, lightly beat the room-temperature egg in a bowl. Add the liquid coconut oil and whisk until well combined. Next, add the sugar and continue mixing until the sugar is dissolved. Sift the dry ingredients (cake flour and salt) into the wet mixture. Using a spatula, gently fold the ingredients together until a smooth dough forms. Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a round tip. Since this is a piped cookie, a piping bag and tip are essential!
Step 2
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 12-15 minutes. Keep an eye on the cookies and bake until they are golden brown. Adjust baking time as needed to prevent burning.
Step 3
Even without vanilla extract or flavoring, the natural aroma of coconut oil imparts a rich coconut flavor, similar to butter cookies! It’s a cookie I absolutely love because of its wonderfully sweet and nutty scent. Because we’re using liquid coconut oil, the dough might feel slightly oily or seem to separate a little due to your hand’s warmth while piping, but this is not a problem. Just mix it well, and you’ll achieve a smooth batter. 🙂
Step 4
For a festive touch, especially for Christmas cookies, you can dip the baked cookies in melted chocolate and decorate them further. This adds an extra special flair to your cookies!
