Homemade Baby Milk Powder Bread: A Perfect Mid-Stage Baby Food Snack
For babies who haven’t yet started eating flour, try this simple and quick milk powder and egg bread! It’s a delightful, soft-textured snack that babies absolutely love.
Main Ingredients- 5 Tbsp milk powder
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 slice baby cheese
- 30ml water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Before you begin making the milk powder bread, gather all your ingredients. The core components are milk powder, water, and an egg yolk. You can enhance the flavor and texture by adding baby cheese, banana puree, or pumpkin puree, according to your baby’s preference.
Step 2
In a microwave-safe bowl, add 5 tablespoons of milk powder.
Step 3
Pour in 30ml of water. Whisk gently with a small whisk or fork until the milk powder is smoothly combined and there are no lumps.
Step 4
Carefully separate the egg white from the yolk. Add only the egg yolk to the milk powder and water mixture in the bowl.
Step 5
Tear the baby cheese into small pieces with your fingers or cut it with scissors and add it to the bowl. This will add richness and a softer texture to the bread.
Step 6
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a microwave-safe lid, leaving it slightly ajar. Microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Keep an eye on it during cooking and adjust the time as needed until it’s cooked through.
Step 7
Once done, carefully remove the bowl from the microwave. Let the milk powder bread cool slightly. Then, cut it into small, bite-sized pieces that are easy for your baby to handle.
Step 8
Cutting the finished bread into small cubes is great for developing your baby’s fine motor skills as they learn to feed themselves. Babies typically love the taste, making this an excellent, healthy snack option. It’s also easy to spoon-feed to your little one.
