- Pinch of Fine Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 30g Minced Pickled Cucumbers (about 2 Tbsp)
- 30g Minced Onion (about 2 Tbsp)
- 4 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- Pinch of Fine Salt
- Pinch of Black Pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the smoked duck breast into bite-sized pieces, about 2-3 cm. Cutting them too large can make them difficult to eat.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium heat and add the smoked duck breast. Grill it until it’s lightly golden brown. This step enhances the duck’s savory flavor.
Step 3
Transfer the grilled duck to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb any excess oil. Removing excess oil ensures a cleaner and more delicate taste.
Step 4
Finely julienne the carrot, onion, green onion, Korean red chili peppers, and red bell pepper. Using a variety of colorful peppers adds visual appeal and balances the flavors.
Step 5
Finely mince the pickled cucumbers and onion for the tartar sauce. After mincing the pickled cucumbers, squeeze out as much liquid as possible using a cheesecloth or paper towels. Excess moisture can dilute the sauce.
Step 6
In a bowl, combine the minced pickled cucumbers, minced onion, mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, fine salt, and black pepper. Whisk everything together until well combined to create a delicious tartar sauce.
Step 7
In a large bowl, add the julienned carrots, onion, green onion, Korean red chili peppers, and red bell pepper. Add about 2 tablespoons of the tartar sauce and gently mix to coat the vegetables; let them sit for a moment. Then, add the drained smoked duck breast and the remaining tartar sauce. Gently toss everything together without mashing the ingredients, ensuring all components are evenly coated with the sauce.
Step 8
Your delicious Smoked Duck Salad with Tartar Sauce, featuring crunchy vegetables and savory duck, is ready! It can be enjoyed immediately, or chilled in the refrigerator for an even more refreshing taste.
