Main Ingredients- Leftover vegetables (carrots, onions, scallions, etc.) for 1 serving
- 1 egg white
- 1 teaspoon butter
- Soy sauce or oyster sauce, to taste
- Pinch of black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add the leftover vegetables and egg white. Stir-fry quickly until the egg white is cooked and mixed with the vegetables. You can break up the egg white with chopsticks or a spatula as it cooks.
Step 2
Once the vegetables and egg white are partially cooked, add 1 teaspoon of butter to enhance the flavor. The butter will melt and release a rich aroma. Reduce the heat to medium to prevent the butter from burning and continue stir-frying.
Step 3
Now, add 1 serving of cooked rice to the pan. Use a spatula to break up any clumps of rice and mix it thoroughly with the vegetables and egg. Sprinkle with a pinch of black pepper and season with soy sauce or oyster sauce according to your preference. It’s recommended to add a little at a time and taste as you go to avoid making it too salty.
Step 4
Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until all ingredients are well combined and the rice grains are separated and slightly toasted. Remove from heat, plate nicely in a warm bowl, and your delicious fried rice is ready! For an extra touch, you can garnish with seaweed flakes or sesame seeds.
