Easy Tuna and Vegetable Bibimbap in 3 Simple Steps
A quick and delicious bibimbap recipe, perfect for busy days. Fresh vegetables and savory tuna come together for a satisfying meal.
Bibimbap Ingredients- 1 handful of mixed fresh vegetables (lettuce, perilla leaves, carrots, cucumber, etc.)
- 1 can of tuna, drained
- 1 bowl of warm rice
Seasoning Sauce Ingredients- 1 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 0.5 Tbsp mirin (or cooking wine)
- 0.5 Tbsp sugar
- 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic
- 0.5 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 0.5 Tbsp mirin (or cooking wine)
- 0.5 Tbsp sugar
- 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic
- 0.5 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, place one bowl of warm rice into your bibimbap serving bowl. Arrange it nicely without pressing down too much, so the rice grains remain distinct.
Step 2
Generously top the rice with your handful of mixed fresh vegetables. Then, add the drained canned tuna on top. Using a variety of colorful vegetables will make your bibimbap look even more appealing.
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine the gochujang, gochugaru, vinegar, mirin, sugar, minced garlic, sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon of water. Mix well with a spoon to create the seasoning sauce. Add the sauce to your bibimbap according to your preference, then mix everything together and enjoy. It’s truly that simple!
