Salad Greens- Fresh lettuce (torn by hand)

- 1/2 Onion (thinly sliced and soaked in water to remove pungency)
- 5 Cherry tomatoes (halved)
- 160g Firm tofu (cubed)
For Grilling Tofu- 1 Tbsp Perilla oil (or sesame oil)
- 1 Tbsp Cooking oil
- 1 Tbsp Perilla oil (or sesame oil)
- 1 Tbsp Cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the vegetables and tofu for your salad. Using a variety of vegetables you have on hand will make it even better.

Heat a pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon each of perilla oil (or sesame oil) and cooking oil. Place the cubed tofu in the pan. It’s best to adjust the heat so the pan isn’t too hot.

Grill the tofu, turning it occasionally, until all sides are golden brown and delicious. Once nicely grilled, place the tofu on paper towels to drain any excess oil, making it even lighter.

Arrange the torn lettuce pieces at the bottom of a wide serving bowl. Thinly slice the onion and soak it in cold water for about 5 minutes to mellow its sharp flavor, making it softer. Drain the onion and place it on top of the lettuce. Then, artfully arrange the halved cherry tomatoes.
