Wondering what to do with frozen chicken breast? Try this super simple Sriracha Chicken Breast Stir-Fry, ready in minutes!
Don’t let that frozen chicken breast go to waste! Transform it into a delicious stir-fry with the sweet and spicy kick of Sriracha sauce. It’s perfect as a side dish for rice or a tasty snack with drinks. I’ll share a tip to keep the chicken breast tender and moist, avoiding that dry, tough texture.
Main Ingredients- 2 packs Chicken Breast (approx. 400g, thawed)
- 10g Butter (1 Tbsp)
- Sriracha Sauce (to taste)
- Black Pepper (generous amount)
- Toasted Sesame Seeds (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the chicken breast. (I used Harim Chicken Breast Original and Garlic flavors. Please note these are pre-cooked, not raw chicken breast.) Make sure to thaw the frozen chicken breast completely, either at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Once thawed, cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Cutting them too small can cause moisture loss during cooking, so aim for pieces about 2-3 cm in size.
Step 2
Now, let’s start stir-frying. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a generous amount of butter, about 10g. The butter will melt and release a wonderful aroma. Using butter helps make the chicken breast more tender and enhances its flavor.
Step 3
Once the butter is melted and hot, add the cut chicken breast to the pan. Stir-fry over high heat, ensuring you sear the chicken breast until its surface is lightly golden brown. This step is crucial for locking in the juices, keeping the chicken breast moist and tender.
Step 4
When the chicken breast is almost cooked through, generously sprinkle in black pepper. Pepper helps to eliminate any gamey smell from the chicken and adds depth of flavor. Next, drizzle in the Sriracha sauce according to your preference. I added about 5 drizzles, but feel free to adjust the amount to your liking. It’s best to start with less and add more later if needed. You can always add more sauce at the table if you like it spicier.
Step 5
Finally, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds for a finishing touch. And there you have it – a simple yet incredibly delicious Sriracha Chicken Breast Stir-Fry! Isn’t that super easy? You’ve made a fantastic dish in under 5 minutes.
Step 6
Serve it over warm rice for a quick meal, or plate it attractively to enjoy with a cold drink or beer. If you have frozen chicken breast that you’re not sure what to do with, this recipe is a quick and tasty solution! You’ll be able to enjoy tender, moist, and deliciously spicy-sweet chicken breast without any dryness.
