Delicious Snack Made with Mart Butter Rolls: Sausage Buns
If you can’t give up bread even while dieting, try making a wonderful snack with readily available mart butter rolls! We usually enjoy butter rolls with cream cheese, as mini burgers, or with strawberry jam. Today, we’ll make special, delicious sausage buns with a generous filling. They are simple yet perfect for kids’ snacks or when you need a satisfying bite.
Main Ingredients- 5 Butter rolls
- 5 Sausages
- Shredded mozzarella cheese, as needed
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, carefully cut a rectangular shape on the top of each butter roll using a knife, then lift it to create an opening. Save the cut-off bread tops; they’re delicious to snack on later! Making a slight slit inside the roll will make it easier to fill with the salad mixture.
Step 2
Prepare the filling ingredients. Finely shred the cabbage. Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water briefly, then chop them into small pieces. (Bell peppers are often used, but broccoli adds nice color and texture.) Drain the sweet corn kernels and rinse them with warm water to remove impurities.
Step 3
In a bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, chopped broccoli, and drained sweet corn. Mix in the mayonnaise and sugar until well combined. The mixture might look a bit plain at this stage, but the next step will enhance its appearance!
Step 4
To add a touch of color to the salad, prepare the imitation crab sticks. Shred them into bite-sized pieces and gently mix them into the salad. The hint of red from the crab sticks makes the filling look much more appetizing.
Step 5
Generously fill the hollowed-out butter rolls with the prepared salad mixture. Be careful not to overfill, which could cause the bread to burst.
Step 6
I’ve filled all 5 butter rolls with the salad, and the amount is just right – not too much, not too little. Leave some space for the sausage and cheese. It’s important not to pack the salad too tightly, as you still need room for the other toppings.
Step 7
Make slits on the sausages so they can be placed nicely on top of the buns. I’m a big fan of sausages, so I’ve added two per bun for an extra hearty snack. Feel free to adjust the quantity to your liking.
Step 8
After placing the sausages, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously in the gaps and around the sausages. The melting cheese will beautifully bind everything together.
Step 9
It’s time for the ketchup drizzle. Instead of using a full ketchup bottle, which can result in thick lines, try snipping the tip of a leftover ketchup packet from takeout. This will allow you to create finer, more decorative lines.
Step 10
Finally, sprinkle some parsley flakes over the top for a beautiful finish. The parsley not only adds visual appeal but also enhances the overall flavor.
Step 11
Since there are only 5 buns, using an air fryer is more convenient than a full oven. Cook them in the air fryer at 180°C (356°F) for about 6-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are lightly golden brown. Your delicious butter roll sausage buns are now complete!
