Ingredients- 8 frozen pork dumplings
- 1/3 bell pepper (using different colors will make it more visually appealing!)
- 1/3 green bell pepper
- 5 stalks scallions
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1.5 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1.5 bowls cooked rice (warm)
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- A pinch of sesame seeds
- A pinch of parsley flakes (optional)
- 3 Tbsp cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Thoroughly wash all vegetables and pat them dry. Chop the scallions into bite-sized pieces. For the bell peppers and green bell peppers, remove the seeds and slice them thinly into strips about 0.5 cm wide. Cutting them into child-friendly sizes is recommended.
Step 2
Place the frozen dumplings in the microwave without thawing and cook for about 3 minutes until slightly heated. This prevents the dumpling wrappers from breaking while stir-frying and ensures the filling is heated through. Once cooked, cut the dumplings into manageable pieces (2-3 cuts per dumpling).
Step 3
Heat 3 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped scallions, and stir-fry until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic; developing a mild garlic aroma is key.
Step 4
Once the garlic is fragrant, add the sliced bell peppers and green bell peppers to the pan. Stir-fry over high heat for a short time. Stir-frying them just until they begin to soften will maintain their crisp texture.
Step 5
When the vegetables are partially cooked, add the cut frozen dumplings to the pan and stir-fry them together with the vegetables. Continue to stir-fry until the surface of the dumplings is lightly golden for a richer flavor.
Step 6
Once the dumplings are well stir-fried, drizzle 1.5 tablespoons of oyster sauce over them and stir-fry to ensure the sauce is evenly distributed among the dumplings and vegetables. Oyster sauce adds a wonderful umami flavor.
Step 7
Continue to stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce is well incorporated. Turn off the heat, then add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and mix well. The residual heat will enhance the aroma.
Step 8
Serve the warm rice in a bowl. Generously spoon the prepared dumpling stir-fry over the rice. Finally, sprinkle with sesame seeds and parsley flakes for a visually appealing and delicious Dumpling Stir-Fry Rice Bowl. Enjoy your meal!
