Simple Butter-Roasted Potatoes in a Rice Cooker
Rice Cooker Butter-Roasted Potatoes: A Quick Snack
A delightful snack that disappears in a flash when you’re feeling peckish! This recipe makes buttery, savory, and slightly sweet roasted potatoes with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- Generous amount of parsley (fresh or dried)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Start by preparing your potatoes. Peel the skins off all four medium-sized potatoes. Then, cut them into bite-sized cubes, about 2-3 cm in size. Using 4 medium potatoes cut into these pieces is ideal for fitting neatly into the bottom of your rice cooker.
Step 2
Arrange the cubed potatoes evenly in the bottom of your rice cooker. Cut the 2 tablespoons of butter into smaller pieces and distribute them evenly over the potatoes. Sprinkle the 3 tablespoons of sugar generously over everything, followed by a good amount of parsley. Select the ‘Cake’ or ‘Bake’ function on your rice cooker and set it for 20 minutes. If your rice cooker doesn’t have a specific baking function, the regular ‘Cook’ setting will also work.
Step 3
Once the 20-minute cycle is complete, gently stir the potatoes with a spatula. They should be perfectly tender and infused with the delicious flavors of butter and sugar. If you prefer your potatoes to be more golden brown and slightly crispier, you can run the ‘Bake’ or ‘Cook’ cycle for an additional 20 minutes.
Step 4
These warm, buttery potatoes are a perfect late-night snack or an afternoon pick-me-up. They’re so easy to make and incredibly satisfying. Enjoy this simple yet delicious treat!
