Easy Broccoli and Cocktail Shrimp Stir-fry Recipe, Making a Delicious Side Dish
Tired of the same old blanched broccoli with dipping sauce? Today, we’re making a simple broccoli and shrimp stir-fry, enhanced with cocktail shrimp for richer flavor and texture. This recipe is perfect as a side dish or even a satisfying meal on its own!
Main Ingredients- 1 head broccoli
- 15 cocktail shrimp
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Thoroughly wash the broccoli by submerging it upside down in water with a little vinegar for about 10 minutes. This helps to clean any hidden dirt in the small florets. After washing, cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Bring a pot of water to a boil with a pinch of salt, add the broccoli, and blanch for 1-2 minutes until tender-crisp. Immediately rinse with cold water to preserve its vibrant green color and maintain its crisp texture.
Step 2
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic in a pan over medium-low heat until fragrant. Once the garlic aroma is released, add the thawed cocktail shrimp and stir-fry until they turn pink and are almost cooked through. When the shrimp are nearly done, add the blanched broccoli to the pan and continue to stir-fry together.
Step 3
Now it’s time to add the delicious sauce! Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of cooking wine, and 1/2 tablespoon of salt. Stir-fry quickly to combine all the ingredients evenly. Finally, sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds for a nutty finish. Your flavorful Broccoli and Shrimp Stir-fry is ready! Enjoy it warm or let it cool to serve as a side dish.
