Let’s make this zucchini rice bowl now!
Main Ingredients- 1 Zucchini
- 1/2 Onion
- 1 Egg
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the zucchini thoroughly and slice it into bite-sized pieces, about 0.5 cm thick, in a half-moon or your preferred shape. Peel and thinly slice the onion. Prepare the minced garlic.
Step 2
Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and sauté gently until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Step 3
Once the garlic is fragrant, add the sliced zucchini and onion to the pan. Stir-fry them together until the zucchini softens slightly and the onion begins to turn translucent.
Step 4
Now it’s time to add the seasonings. Stir in 1 tablespoon of gochugaru, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Mix everything well and continue to stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes, or until the zucchini is tender and the sauce has coated all the ingredients evenly. Be careful not to overcook, as the zucchini can become mushy.
Step 5
Place a generous serving of warm rice into a bowl. Top the rice with the delicious zucchini stir-fry you just prepared to create your rice bowl.
Step 6
For an even richer and more satisfying meal, top the rice bowl with a fried egg cooked to your preference (soft-boiled is recommended). Finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Enjoy your meal!
