  • Green onion, 1 stalk
  • Onion, 1/2 medium
  • Chives, 2 handfuls
  • Perilla leaves (깻잎), 4-5 leaves

Before you start cooking, prepare your ingredients. Measure out about a handful of smoked duck. Chop the green onion into large pieces. Slice half an onion. Wash the chives, cut them into 3-4 cm lengths, and wash the perilla leaves, pat them dry, then cut them into 2-3 pieces.

Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the smoked duck, sliced onion, and chopped green onion to the pan. Stir-fry them together. The duck will release its own flavorful oil, which will cook the onions and green onions until they are tender and well combined.

Once the ingredients are partially cooked and the duck fat has rendered, creating a savory aroma, add the prepared perilla leaves. Stir-fry them briefly. The aromatic essence of the perilla leaves will elevate the overall flavor of the dish.
