- 1 Tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce (Use low-sodium soy sauce suitable for babies.)

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash and prepare all the ingredients for the Silken Tofu and Egg Custard. Finely chop the vegetables so they are easy for your child to eat.
Step 2
Finely mince the carrots, onions, and scallions. Using only the white parts of the scallions will make them even softer.
Step 3
In a bowl, whisk together 2 eggs and 100ml of water, which is the same volume as the eggs. Accurate measurement is important for the custard’s texture. Whisk gently to avoid creating too much foam.
Step 4
Add 1 tablespoon of low-sodium soy sauce to the egg mixture to season. Keep the seasoning mild as it’s for your baby.
Step 5
Add 1 tablespoon of mirin to eliminate any eggy smell and enhance the flavor. Use a small amount for your baby’s meal.
Step 6
Finally, add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil for a nutty aroma and mix all the seasonings well.
Step 7
Add the finely minced carrots, onions, and scallions to the egg mixture and stir to combine evenly. Mix well so the vegetables are dispersed throughout the egg mixture.
Step 8
Prepare a microwave-safe dish. Gently place the silken tofu, removed from its packaging, into the dish. Pour the prepared egg mixture over the tofu. Use a spoon to gently mash the tofu into the egg mixture. Be careful not to mash it too vigorously, as this can affect the soft texture of the tofu.
Step 9
Place the prepared dish in the microwave and cook for about 5 minutes (at 700W). The egg mixture will cook and set, resulting in a firm yet tender silken tofu custard. Adjust the cooking time based on your microwave’s power.
Step 10
Once cooked, carefully remove the dish from the microwave, let it cool slightly, then cut into bite-sized pieces for your child. Serve this soft and delicious Silken Tofu and Egg Custard for a healthy and enjoyable mealtime!
