Silken Tofu and Bean Sprout Ramen
Keto Diet Friendly! Easy Silken Tofu and Bean Sprout Ramen Recipe (Perfect for a Hangover Cure!)
Cutting out flour for my current diet, I created this noodle-free keto ramen using silken tofu and bean sprouts. It’s also a fantastic quick hangover soup!
Ingredients- 1 packet Ramen soup base (choose your favorite flavor)
- 1 block Silken Tofu
- 150g Bean Sprouts
- 1 Egg
- 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
- 300ml Water
- A little Chili Oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, choose your ramen soup base. If you like spicy, a ‘Bulldak Jjamppong’ flavor is great, but feel free to use a mild flavor or ‘Nagasaki Jjamppong’ according to your preference! The type of soup base will significantly impact the broth’s flavor, so find your perfect match!
Step 2
In a pot, pour in 300ml of water and add one block of silken tofu. Gently break it into large chunks with chopsticks or a spoon. (Keeping larger pieces adds a better texture!) Sprinkle in the ramen soup base and bring to a boil over high heat.
Step 3
If you happen to have any leftover ramen noodles, don’t let them go to waste! Scrape in any small bits you have. (It’s delicious without noodles, but if you want that extra satisfaction, feel free to add them.)
Step 4
Once the water starts to boil vigorously, add a generous amount of fresh bean sprouts, arranging them like a bird’s nest. Then, crack one egg right into the center. (We’re aiming for a soft-boiled yolk!)
Step 5
After adding the egg, let it simmer for about 1 minute. Just before turning off the heat, sprinkle in 0.5 tsp of black pepper and drizzle a bit of chili oil to your liking for extra flavor and aroma.
Step 6
Voilà! Your delicious Silken Tofu and Bean Sprout Ramen is ready. The combination of soft tofu and crisp bean sprouts is simply delightful. ♥
Step 7
Here’s a special way to enjoy this ramen even more! Ladle some of the hot broth over the egg yolk to gently cook it. Stir the remaining egg white into the broth, allowing it to cook and add a smooth texture.
Step 8
Dip the crisp bean sprouts into the warm, slightly cooked yolk for an incredibly savory bite that explodes with flavor in your mouth. It’s truly fantastic!
Step 9
How can something without noodles be this delicious? The crisp texture of the bean sprouts and the rich, savory taste will leave you amazed. *.*
Step 10
Finally, scoop up some broth with the yolk and remaining bean sprouts for a final, satisfying taste. Enjoy every last drop. Slurp slurp, yum yum! ^^
Step 11
The silky smooth silken tofu melts in your mouth with the spicy, flavorful broth, bringing pure happiness. Enjoy slurping it all up!
Step 12
As you eat the well-cooked egg white, silken tofu, and the spicy broth together, you’ll feel a refreshing and invigorating sensation, like a hangover cure even if you haven’t been drinking. This is also a great option for a quick and satisfying breakfast hangover soup. ♥
