Seasoned Spring Cabbage Salad
The Perfect Side for Samgyeopsal! Super Quick & Easy 1-Minute Spring Cabbage Salad Recipe
I bought a bunch of fresh spring cabbage for just 1,000 won at the supermarket and made this delicious salad. It’s incredibly simple, requiring no blanching, and tastes amazing! It’s a fantastic way to cut through the richness of grilled pork belly.
Main Ingredients
- 1 bunch Spring Cabbage
Seasoning
- 1/2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean Chili Flakes)
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp Fish Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp Minced Garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (Korean Chili Flakes)
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp Fish Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp Minced Garlic
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Gently separate the spring cabbage leaves and wash them thoroughly under running water. Ensure all dirt and debris are removed.
Step 2
Trim the leaves to a bite-sized portion. If the leaves are very large, cut them in half or into thirds for easier eating and better dressing distribution.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, combine all the seasoning ingredients: 1 Tbsp Gochugaru, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1 Tbsp sugar, 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 Tbsp fish sauce, and 1 Tbsp sesame oil. Gently mix these together first. Begin to lightly toss the cabbage with the seasonings. Since Gochugaru can clump initially, add the remaining 1 Tbsp of Gochugaru to areas that seem less coated, and continue to gently mix until evenly seasoned.
Step 4
Your vibrant and flavorful seasoned spring cabbage salad is ready in a flash! Serve immediately alongside your favorite grilled meats, like Samgyeopsal, for a refreshing and delicious meal.
