Ingredients- 100g Cooked Fern (Gosari)
Seasoning- 1 tsp Soy Sauce (Jin Ganjang)
- 1 tsp Soup Soy Sauce (Guk Ganjang)
- 0.5 tsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp Perilla Oil
- 0.5 tsp Minced Garlic
- 6cm Green Onion (white part)
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce (Jin Ganjang)
- 1 tsp Soup Soy Sauce (Guk Ganjang)
- 0.5 tsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp Perilla Oil
- 0.5 tsp Minced Garlic
- 6cm Green Onion (white part)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Take the 100g of cooked fern (gosari), rinse it lightly under running water, and cut it into bite-sized pieces, about 1cm thick. Cutting them to a manageable length will make them easier for everyone to eat.
Step 2
Finely chop the green onion, using only the white part. The fresh aroma of the green onion will enhance the flavor of the fern.
Step 3
In a bowl, combine the prepared fern with 0.5 tsp minced garlic, 1 tsp soup soy sauce, 1 tsp soy sauce, and 0.5 tsp sesame oil. Gently mix everything together with your hands, ensuring the seasoning is evenly distributed. Letting it marinate for a bit will help the flavors meld beautifully.
Step 4
Heat a pan over medium heat. Add 0.5 cups of water (using a paper cup as a measure, approximately 50ml) and 1 tsp of perilla oil. Adding a little water helps to tenderize the fern and prevents the seasoning from burning, resulting in a moist stir-fry. Add the marinated fern and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes, making sure to keep it moving to prevent sticking.
Step 5
Towards the end of the cooking time, add the chopped green onions and stir-fry for another minute until fragrant. For an extra touch of flavor and texture, you can sprinkle some sesame seeds or drizzle a little more sesame oil on top. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed by adding a touch more soy sauce.
