Savory Stir-Fried Dried Pollack Strips: The Ultimate Beer Snack!
Simple Recipe for Stir-Fried Dried Pollack
It’s Friday night and I’m craving a refreshing glass of beer! This led me to make a dried snack. This recipe for stir-fried dried pollack strips is chewy, flavorful, and incredibly easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. It’s perfect for entertaining guests or for a solo beer break!
Main Ingredients- 1 handful dried pollack strips (about 30-40g)
- 0.5 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- A pinch of salt (adjust to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare one handful of dried pollack strips and tear them into bite-sized pieces. Tearing them into manageable lengths will make them easier to chew. If the strips feel tough, gently soften them with your hands as you tear.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium-low heat and add 1 Tbsp of sesame oil. It’s important to keep the heat low to gently infuse the oil with its aroma without burning it.
Step 3
Add the torn dried pollack strips to the pan. Stir gently with a spatula or chopsticks to prevent sticking and burning. Continue stir-frying until the surface of the pollack strips begins to turn slightly golden.
Step 4
Once the pollack strips start to turn a light yellowish color, sprinkle a pinch of salt (about 1/16 tsp) evenly over them. Taste and add a tiny bit more salt if needed.
Step 5
After the salt has seasoned the pollack strips and they’ve taken on a light brown hue, add 0.5 Tbsp of butter. The melting butter will add a rich, savory flavor to the strips.
Step 6
Once the butter is completely melted and well combined with the pollack strips, slightly increase the heat and stir-fry quickly until they turn a deep brown color. Keep stirring constantly to prevent burning. They are ready when they become glossy and slightly crispy. Enjoy them while they’re warm for the best taste!
