Savory Soft Tofu & Miso Ramen
The Perfect Hangover Ramen: Soft Tofu Miso Ramen Recipe
Introducing a Soft Tofu Miso Ramen that’s perfect for soothing your senses, even when you don’t have a hangover! We’re using ‘Happy Bean’ domestic soybeans’ soft tofu, which cooks up in a flash. This ramen is named a ‘hangover ramen’ because its refreshingly savory and deeply flavorful broth is so satisfying. Even without a need for a hangover cure, the delightful balance of clean and savory notes makes this ramen irresistibly comforting.
Ingredients- 1/2 pack soft tofu
- 1 instant ramen noodle pack
- 1/2 Tbsp homemade miso paste
- A handful of bean sprouts
- 1 Korean green chili pepper
- 1 stalk green onion
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 400ml water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a pot, add 400ml of water, slightly less than you’d typically use for ramen. Dissolve 1/2 tablespoon of homemade miso paste into the water, then add the washed bean sprouts and bring to a boil.
Step 2
Keep the lid off while the broth simmers. Add only about 1/3 of the ramen soup powder to adjust the saltiness, allowing the savory notes of the miso to shine through while complementing the ramen’s flavor.
Step 3
Once the broth is rapidly boiling, add the instant ramen noodles. Gently separate the noodles with chopsticks as they cook to prevent sticking, ensuring they are well dispersed in the flavorful broth.
Step 4
When the noodles are about 80% cooked, gently add the 1/2 pack of soft tofu in large chunks. Also, add the chopped green onion. Let it simmer for another moment, being careful not to break up the tofu too much.
Step 5
Finally, stir in 1 teaspoon of minced garlic to finish. Your delicious Soft Tofu Miso Ramen is ready! For an even more satisfying meal, consider adding rice to the broth.
