Delicious Dumpling and Cheese Rice You Can Make Blindfolded!
A delicious dumpling and cheese rice that you won’t regret! Easy, comforting, and packed with flavor.
Main Ingredients- 1 bowl of cooked rice
- 1/2 cup seasoned radish salad (mu-saengchae)
- 4 frozen dumplings
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- Shredded seaweed (gim-garu) for garnish
Seasonings & Toppings- 0.5 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- Sesame oil
- Toasted sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare your frozen dumplings. Lightly oil a frying pan and cook the dumplings over medium heat until they are golden brown and slightly crispy on both sides. This step enhances their texture significantly.
Step 2
Once cooked, cut the dumplings into 3-4 bite-sized pieces. Now, have your cooked rice, the prepared radish salad, and the mozzarella cheese ready to assemble the dish.
Step 3
Lightly grease the inside of a small earthenware pot (ttukbaegi) with sesame oil. Press the warm rice firmly into the pot. Add 0.5 Tbsp of gochujang and mix it well with the rice. (Feel free to adjust the amount of gochujang to your preference.)
Step 4
Arrange the cut dumplings evenly over the rice and gochujang mixture in the pot.
Step 5
Generously top the dumplings with the mozzarella cheese. Cover the pot with a lid and heat on very low heat until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly. This usually takes about 3-5 minutes.
Step 6
Once the cheese is melted, turn off the heat. Drizzle a little sesame oil over the top, and sprinkle with shredded seaweed and toasted sesame seeds for a beautiful finish. Enjoy your delicious and comforting dumpling and cheese rice!
