Step 1
Today, we’re making ‘Braised Pollack Roe’. This is a fantastic side dish that will have you finishing your rice in no time!
Step 2
First, prepare the pollack roe for cooking. (If using frozen pollack roe, thaw it at room temperature or by soaking in cold water.) In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of water (approx. 100ml) with 1 tsp of chili powder and 1 tsp of sugar. Mix well. Finely chop 1 Cheongyang pepper (removing seeds if you prefer less heat) and add it to the seasoning mixture. Have a pinch of sesame seeds ready.
Step 3
Pour the prepared seasoning water into a deep frying pan or pot and bring it to a boil. Once the water starts boiling, carefully add the prepared pollack roe. Be gentle when stirring to avoid breaking the roe.
