  • 1/2 Tbsp butter (or cooking oil)
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp water (optional, for shine)

Melt the butter (or cooking oil) in a pan over medium-low heat. This will add a wonderful depth of flavor to your tofu dish. Melting the butter slowly ensures it doesn’t burn and releases its rich aroma.

Once the butter is melted and coats the pan, prepare your block of tofu. Gently pat the tofu dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut it into bite-sized cubes (about 2-3 cm), perfect for little hands, and add them to the pan. Searing the tofu slightly until golden brown will enhance its texture.

Now, it’s time to add the key to the flavor! Combine 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of sugar in a 2:1 ratio. For a slightly softer texture and a glossier finish, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of water.
