- 1/2 Onion
- 0.5 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- A little Cooking Oil
Seasoning- 2 Tbsp Perilla Oil (Elongated and thick)
- Salt to taste

- 2 Tbsp Perilla Oil (Elongated and thick)
- Salt to taste
- Sesame Seeds for garnish
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Gently rinse the fresh King Oyster Mushrooms under running water. If there’s any dirt, lightly scrub it off.

Step 2
Slice the rinsed mushrooms lengthwise into thick pieces. Slicing them too thinly will result in a less satisfying chewiness and can release too much water during cooking. Aim for about 0.5 cm thickness for the best texture.

Step 3
After slicing the entire package of King Oyster Mushrooms, you’ll have a generous amount. This quantity is perfect for a flavorful stir-fry.

Step 4
Coarsely chop the onion into thick strips. Thinly slice the carrot into rounds, then cut them to a size similar to the mushrooms. Since carrots take longer to cook, slicing them thinly or into fine strips ensures they cook evenly with the other ingredients.

Step 5
Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Step 6
Add the carrots to the fragrant garlic oil first and stir-fry over high heat. Cook until the carrots are slightly tender.

Step 7
Next, add the chopped onion and

Step 8
the sliced King Oyster Mushrooms to the pan! Let’s toss everything together to begin our delicious stir-fry!

Step 9
Stir-fry all the ingredients over high heat, tossing them frequently. Once the ingredients start to soften, drizzle in 2 tablespoons of perilla oil around the edges of the pan to add a rich, nutty flavor.

Step 10
Finally, season with salt to your preference. It’s best to add salt gradually and taste as you go to avoid over-salting.

Step 11
A key tip for a perfect mushroom stir-fry: Avoid cooking over low heat for a long time, as this releases a lot of water and can make the dish mushy. Instead, cook quickly over high heat. This method helps the moisture evaporate, keeping the mushrooms wonderfully chewy and delicious.

Step 12
Plate the beautifully stir-fried King Oyster Mushrooms and finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for extra flavor and visual appeal. Your delicious and easy side dish is ready!
